The Board of Directors of the Mid-County Fire Protection District is comprised of five people that are elected by the voters of the fire district. Each of the directors serves a staggered six year term. The five directors annually elect a Chairman, Secretary and a Treasurer as required by Chapters 320 and Chapter 321 of the revised statutes of the State of Missouri. The Board of Directors are tasked with management of the fire district, establishing rules, codes and ordinances and overseeing all facets of district operations. The Board of Directors meets once a month, currently on the second Thursday of every month at the headquarters fire station.
